HANOVER, Germany, AGCO (NYSE: AGCO), a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery and precision ag technology, announced multiple major awards for its Fendt® and Valtra® brands at AGRITECHNICA. The honors span Tractor of the Year, Farm Machine 2026, Innovation and DLG Agrifuture Concept categories, recognizing solutions that help mixed-fleet and forage farmers become more productive, profitable and sustainable.

"These AGRITECHNICA honors reflect AGCO's ongoing efforts to support farmers around the world," said Eric Hansotia, AGCO Chairman, President and CEO. "I am so proud of the teams behind these award-winning products! Our brands lead the way in delivering innovative solutions that empower farmers globally to be more productive and sustainable, shaping the future of agriculture."

Tractor of the Year – MidPower: Fendt 516 Vario

The Fendt 516 Vario® earned the Tractor of the Year – MidPower title. The fully redesigned model gives farmers a mid-horsepower tractor with premium features, including:

  • VarioDrive™ for smooth power delivery and enhanced traction.
  • Integrated tire pressure control to protect soil health and improve performance.
  • Enhanced support and assistance systems for greater efficiency, safety and ease of operation in daily fieldwork.

With its combination of driveline technology and operator support, the Fendt 516 Vario is positioned as a highly capable choice for demanding mid-power applications.

Tractor of the Year – Utility: Valtra G Series CVT Active

The Valtra G Series CVT Active Model was recognized as Tractor of the Year – Utility. The award highlights:

  • A new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) for precise, smooth operation.
  • Comfortable, easy-to-use controls that suit a wide range of utility tasks.
  • Focus on fuel efficiency and smart technology to support high productivity in daily work.

The utility award underscores Valtra’s strength in delivering compact, versatile tractors that still offer advanced driveline and operator features.

Innovation & Farm Machine 2026: Fendt ForageQualityCam

AGCO’s innovation credentials were also recognized through a Silver Innovation Award and a Farm Machine 2026 Award – Smart Farming & Robotics for Fendt ForageQualityCam™ developed for Fendt Katana® forage harvesters.

ForageQualityCam is a retrofit system that uses cameras and artificial intelligence (AI) to:

  • Monitor grain processing quality in real time as the forage passes through the machine.
  • Provide instant analysis that operators can see from the cab.
  • Enable quick adjustments to harvester settings for optimal forage quality and consistency.

By moving quality control into real-time, in-cab decision-making, ForageQualityCam helps forage farmers protect feed value while maximizing machine efficiency.

Farm Machine 2026 & Audience Choice: Fendt 832 Vario

The Fendt 832 Vario received the Farm Machine 2026 – Mid-Range Tractor award as well as an Audience Choice Award. The jury and audience recognized a comprehensive redesign that includes:

  • VarioDrive driveline technology for efficient, smooth power transfer.
  • The Fendt iD™ low-speed concept, delivering high torque at lower engine speeds.
  • A self-cleaning engine air filter to limit maintenance interruptions.
  • An innovative lighting concept for improved visibility and safer operation in low-light conditions.

With these updates, the Fendt 832 Vario combines power, comfort and efficiency for mid-range tractor users who operate in intensive, mixed-use environments.

DLG Agrifuture Concept Winner: FieldDataSync

The DLG Agrifuture Concept jury honored FieldDataSync, a project in which Fendt is a partner. FieldDataSync is designed to help mixed-fleet farmers coordinate their machines more effectively in the field.

The concept uses an open interface and Wi-Fi-based communication to:

  • Enable real-time data exchange between machines from different manufacturers.
  • Improve coordination, autonomy and efficiency when multiple machines work together.
  • Support better safety and situational awareness in complex field operations.

By focusing on cross-brand connectivity, FieldDataSync addresses a key challenge in modern agriculture: making different machines and systems work together seamlessly in a single workflow.
